Leaders and staff members of UFCW 8 assembled at dawn on Labor Day to dedicate the new flagpole at the Union’s headquarters in Roseville.

Veterans and Union Representatives Darin Ferguson, Derek Steele and Lee Schreiter are the first to raise the flag.

Flagpole Dedicated at Union’s ‘Fortress of Hope’        As the sun rose on Labor day, Sept. 7, members of  UFCW 8 assembled in front of the union’s headquarters in Roseville to dedicate a new flagpole in front of the building. Military veterans and union representatives Darin Ferguson, Derek Steele and Lee Schreiter raised the flag during the brief ceremony.

“There is no organization that better represents the principles for which the American flag stands than our union,” President Jacques Loveall said. “Thank you all for your commitment to ensure our union marches on. This flagpole will stand for eternity here at the Fortress of hope.”
