The 8th card of the Tarot deck is the card for Strength. It is one of the three virtues of the Major Arcana the other two are Temperance and Justice. The woman is shown gently holding the jaws of the lion closed in dominance. Tarot cards were invented for give-and-take games in Europe. However, they have been used in other cultures in occult practices and to divine the future. |
